How I was Introduced to Human Design
In 2019 I went through a traumatic family experience in my life in which I felt completely numb and lost. I woke up each day not wanting to get out of bed, not feeling motivated for life, and feeling like I had lost touch with who I was.
I had lost two really important people in my life and I was unsure how to move forward without them. I was broken, devastated, sad, and exhausted from trying so hard to get them the help they needed.
But one thing I knew for sure was that this was my time to discover myself and spend more time on ME again. When you’re lost, you can be found. This was my time to get back to the heart of who Stephanie was. I had spent so much time giving to others and pouring my love into people who weren’t open to accepting it. Now, it was time to focus on myself again.
I began that journey of self discovery by pouring time into reading books, listening to podcasts, and learning from others. I bought all the books, listened to all the lessons, and learned…so much about myself. From meditation to positive affirmations to manifestation to the Secret - I was a changed woman.
On this path of re-discovery, I came across something called Human Design and it piqued my interest. I had heard other women talk about different personality types like being a Generator or Manifester, but I didn’t know much about it at all. I read that it was a wonderful way to rediscover who we were born to be and how to make decisions in life.
It sounded like it was exactly what I needed… but I was a little skeptical. There was a lot of magical talk about how the stars align and human design being discovered by a man when a vision came to him. As a science-based person I’ve always lived by science and what research shows is true. But a part of me knew deep down that not everything is about science - it’s about going deeper into feelings, emotions, and our inner souls. Sometimes the path we go down to find ourselves isn’t a black-and-white, strategic path. Instead, it may be a gray area of exploration, creativity, and following where our intuition leads us.
Part of knowing who you are and discovering your truest form is being open to learning more about who you were the exact moment that you were born. Things like astrology always made me curious and skeptical, but Human Design took things several steps farther. It looks at not only the day that you were born, but also the exact time and location of your birth. It tells you more about yourself based on how neutrinos were aligned at the exact moment and location of your birth. Just like the way that you’re imprinted by your mother by her genes and history, you’re also imprinted by the energy molecules that were flowing through your body the moment you popped out as a baby.
After learning this I was still a little skeptical but at the same time open to learning more. So I dove headfirst into learning what Human Design was and if it could help me learn more about myself or not. And this my friends with the beginning of a beautiful self discovery journey.

What my Human Design Chart Taught Me
The reason I’m here sharing with you Human Design and how it impacted me is because the end of that journey was blissful alignment. Human design didn’t disappoint me; it didn’t sound too woo woo or out of line - it was pretty spot on.
It confirmed so many things that I knew about myself, while also opening my eyes, mind, heart, soul, and body to deeper layers that I never had taken the time to discover before. As I learned more, I discovered how I best use my energy, how to best make decisions for myself (as the indecisive individual I am), how to better interact with people around me, and how to become an even better version of myself.
In the matter of a year I went from feeling numb, burnt out, and uncertain of who I was. Now, I am a whole new woman. I am Stephanie and I am much more than who I once thought I was. I’m much more than an online trainer, a physical therapist, a fitness model, or fitness instructor.
I’m Steph, a 3/5 profile Generator with a sacral authority. When my life is in alignment, everything falls into place and I feel satisfied. I am someone who gets completely lit up by things that excite her. I’m someone who can work work work endless hours but never feel like she’s working at all because everything she does lights her up. Because I have endless energy (when living in alignment), I’m also someone who gives to everyone around her, caring about them deeply and giving them all the love that she has.
But these aren’t always good qualities, I’ve learned. Sometimes I can hit the point of burnout and exhaustion because I’m giving so much of myself. I learned that I must prioritize self-care time on a daily basis to center my body, calm my mind, and simply be.
And it’s much more than learning. From Human Design, I learned how to implement strategies that are actionable in order to avoid that burnout and exhaustion that occurs when I’m not living in my energetic alignment. I now have a brand new morning routine that includes skin care, meditation, positive affirmations, and time to myself before I begin my day and give to everyone in my world - including my dog, husband, clients, and friends.
I’ve learned that I have a sacral authority so when it comes to making decisions, I should make those based on my gut reaction: follow my gut instead of my mind or heart. I discovered that the way I best interact with people is an adventurous but also guiding way. I’m really great at lighting others up and getting them excited about projects or a purpose. And I’m really great at teaching them more, expanding their knowledge, and guiding them in the direction they’re being pulled toward.
How Human Design Confirmed my Path
So now it all comes full circle and makes sense as to why I am in the field that I’m in. Every single day I get to wake up excited to work because my work involves helping women online discover who they are, build healthier habits, make positive mindset shifts, and feel more aligned than ever.
My purpose in life is confirmed and I feel like I know myself better than I ever have. All thanks to investing time into myself and Human design.
If you desire to learn more about who I am, I’m gonna share some details from my human design chart. Feel free to read through those to get an idea of who I am but also understand what you can learn from your own human design chart. Every single person's chart is completely different but you’ll learn the same things like who you are, how to best use your energy, how to best make decisions, and how to best interact with other people around you.
I hope that you’ll find my chart enlightening, inspiring, authentic, and true to how I represent myself here in this online world. I hope that you now understand why I’ve decided to begin teaching Human Design and incorporating it into coaching my clients.
It’s because when it comes to change you can’t make a lasting change unless you dive deeper into your purpose, beliefs, and values in life. The body cannot change unless the mind and soul support that change. Simply making changes to your environment, your routine, and strategy are not enough. To make lasting changes, you have to dive deeper and part of that involves questioning your beliefs, establishing your values, and discovering a higher purpose in life.
It’s not until you know yourself fully that you can live fully.
